3 Scary Easy Halloween Dog Treat Recipes

I don’t always make Halloween dog treats but when I do, I want them to be easy and simple to make.

I mean, I like to have some fun with the dogs, but I don’t like to cook and don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen.

Here are 3 of my favorite Halloween dog treat recipes.

I hope you enjoy them too.

Quick Halloween Themed Dog Treats Your Pup Will Love

These no bake Halloween dog treat recipes are popular at my house – both with me and the dogs.

These are also a great choice for dogs will allergies because, unlike most dog treat recipes do, they don’t contain any peanut butter.

No matter which recipe you choose, it will only take about 5 minutes to make once you have gathered all of the ingredients.

I will note though that the jelly shots and frozen candy corn will take longer to become a “finished product” because they will need to sit in the fridge or freezer for a while to form.

1) Halloween Shaped Jelly Shots

Making these Halloween jelly treats only take a few quick steps.

  1. Measure the amount of Dogtastic Jelly Shots mix for dogs that you want to use
  2. Add boiling water (or bone broth) and stir to disolve
  3. Pour into the mold
  4. Put in the fridge
  5. Remove the jelly shots when firm

Watch this video to see how easy it is to make these treats.

You can even do something totally different with your time while you’re waiting for them to set.

I will note that I added the recommended amount of liquid the first time and the jelly shots turned out too hard and rubbery. I would increase the amount used next time.

You can find the Halloween shaped silicone mold HERE.

1/2 cup mix will fill this tray 2-4 times, depending on how full you fill the cavities.

2) Candy Corn Frozen Dog Treats

This is a fun idea from my friend over at Beagles and Bargains.

To make these, you will only need to gather three ingredients.:

  • 1 – 1 1/2 cup plain non fat yogurt
  • 1-2 small bananas
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)

Check out the instructions here: Candy Corn Frozen Dog Treats

I was never a fan of candy corn myself, but I think these are super cute!

And I’ve always got bananas sitting around that I didn’t get to fast enough for my liking (I like them on the green side).

If you live where it is cold around the end of October, you may not want to give your dog cold, frozen treats.

However, these can still work if you choose clear plastic or glass cups so you can see the three layers and you don’t freeze them.

Note: If you do this, please supervise your dog to make sure they don’t bite the plastic and swallow any pieces.

3) Pumpkin Spice Puppuccinos

OMG…these look so good I want to eat them myself!

These pup-friendly drinks can be made in just 5 min with 5 ingredients that you already have on hand. So easy AND nutritious!

The ingredients you will need are:

  • 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons old fashioned oats
  • ¼ cup fat free whipped cream
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

You can find the recipe for the puppuccinos HERE.

I am not sure I am brave enough to sweet talk a Starbuck’s Barista out of sample cups but I feel like these wouldn’t be the same without that special touch.

If you wanted to turn it into a peanut butter puppuccino, you can replace part of the pureed pumpkin with peanut butter instead.

Just beware this might make the consistency a bit thicker.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for easy Halloween dog treat recipes, hopefully my suggestions align with your low-key style.

I think the Halloween-shaped jelly shots are the quickest to make, but I think the pumpkin spice puppuccino is the most fun.

Especially if you can get your paws on those little sample cups from Starbucks.

However you celebrate Halloween with your dog, I hope you have fun!

These Halloween dog treat recipes are scary easy to make. What's even better is that they are no bake and don't contain any peanut butter (which is great for dogs who are allergic to it).
