CoralVue has announced the latest addition to its controller and monitoring family, the Hydros Sole.
Sole is so named because it mainly comprises one sole stepper motor pump. A medical grade stepper pump, it can deliver up to 300ml per minute, or 18 liters/4.76 US gallons per hour, which is a huge amount of water. It does this using ¼” diameter medical-grade tubing but CoralVue says it’s quiet, even at that volume.
At the other end of the scale, Sole can deliver as little as 0.1ml per minute, making it the ultimate dosing pump for so many situations from sulphur reactors, to calcium reactors, kalkwasser stirrers to ATOs, or for constant water changes. The flow direction is reversible, although you would need two units to change water. One pumping in and one pumping out. Quick connectors allow connection to standard RO/DI tubing.
Sole is a stand-alone device that connects to Wi-Fi and works either on its own on the Hydros app platform or in conjunction with other Hydros devices. It can be scheduled and has cloud backup too.
Sole can deliver more water than the equivalent device from Kamoer, as well as enjoying enhanced control features via the Hydros app, and can become a separate stand-alone controller in its own right
The release is expected at the end of August 2024. Sole will be priced at $299.
